You will receive 30 metres of 3M Thinsulate™. The material has a width of 1.52 metres, i.e. if you buy 30 metres, you will receive 45.6 m². The material is shipped in max. 10 metre long pieces (example: 30 metres = 3 packages).

EASY AND QUICK TO INSTALL

3M Thinsulate™ has the same waterproof PP cover fleece on both sides. This means there is no right or wrong side while installing. The light weight (Basis weight 332 g/m²) makes it easy to handle and even though it is 41 mm thick, you can cut it with a regular pair of scissors. No extra tools required.

All this makes is an easy and convenient material to insulate your caravan without any prior knowledge or training.

Not only is 3M Thinsulate™ lightweight and easy to install, it also has the perfect combination of traits to make your home on the road a quiet oasis.
It is made of water-repellent material and has good drying properties, so no susceptibility to mildew.

The extremely low thermal conductivity from 3M Thinsulate™ (0.05 W/mK) helps to keep your caravan cool on hot summer days and warm on colder adventures.

These properties make it the perfect insulation option for your caravan.

 

General Description

3M Thinsulate™ is a high performance compressible acoustic insulation. It fits a wide range of applications where varying thickness is highly desired, such as door trim panels and body side trim panels. The product's uniquely high performance and its low density are ideal for mass reduction applications.

General Construction

The web is composed of 50% polyester staple fibres, and 50% polypropylene fibres. The polypropylene fibres are extremely fine, producing the high-energy absorption characteristic with the low weight. The polyester fibres are added to strengthen the web. The scrim attached to both sides is a 100% polypropylene non-woven fabric.

GENERAL PROPERTIES

  • Composition web 50% polypropylene, 50% polyester
  • Composition scrim 100% polypropylene
  • Construction and colour White web with white scrim on both sides
  • Material Thickness 41 mm (tested after 6 weeks on roll according to SAE J1355@ 0.002 psi (14 N/m²))
  • Surface weight 332 g/m² (web and scrim; tested on 315 x 315 mm samples)
  • Density 7.7 kg/m³
  • Flammability Self-Extinguishing (SE)
  • Temperature resistance 120° C (tested for 2000 hours)
  • Storage Rolls need to be stored upright
